Main Contract (Bovis Lend Lease)
The Liverpool Echo Arena opened in January and has already hosted a number of high profile events, including the formal launch of Capital of Culture year and a concert by Westlife. The Galleria and Multi Purpose Hall opened in February and hosted a national conference and property awards event at the end of that month. The BT Convention Centre opened in April and has already hosted number of national and international conferences. Well over 200 events have already been confirmed for 2008 alone, with bookings as far ahead as 2014.

Infrastructure Contract (Birse Civils)
The road and footpath network, services, lighting and landscaping were completed on schedule in October 2006. Subsequent works to re-align services on the riverside road (Kings Parade) were completed in December and soft landscaping adjoining the hotels in April.

Hotel (McAleer & Rushe)
The 310 bedroom Jurys Inn Hotel opened on target in April, and adjoining 132 bedroom BDL Staybridge ´aparthotel´ - the first venture by the US based company in Europe - in June. Both hotels overlook the public piazza.

Car Park Residential (Artisan)
Work is well advanced on the construction of 96 apartments by specialist housing developer Artisan on the southern and eastern elevations of the multi storey car park. Completion is scheduled for February 2008.
Dukes Dock Bridge
The new pedestrian bridge at Dukes Dock was completed on schedule in September 2007 and is already providing an important route for pedestrian access to and from Kings.
Pavilion (Halo Seddon)
The ´Pavilion´ by developer Halo Seddon at the entrance to the piazza opened in June and is home to a new restaurant.
Queen Wharf Development Opportunity
Landowner English Partnerships is considering bids for the development of two adjoining sites on either side of Queens Wharf at the main vehicular entrance to the site.
